Home Cooking & Baking
Additional to their countless own food & drink products, Delhaize has for many years developed in-depth ranges of home accessories that often focus on kitchen lifestyle and eating and drinking.
For the Delhaize Home range of kitchen utensils our approach was to bring the consumer into the world of the kitchen in a desirable way that inspires enjoyment in the cooking and preparing of food. Often this category in a supermarket is overlooked and uninspiring as consumers are easily distracted by their weekly shop routine and rarely make time to browse this aisle and show any specific interest. This is why our ambition was to stop shoppers in their tracks and disrupt this category with an unexpected quality of packaging that shows a real love for the home and the kitchen and everything associated with an atmosphere of hands-on enjoyment.
The top-shot photography style built out of multiple group compositions of interior lifestyle elements, created a dynamically gorgeous backdrop where the product itself was integrated. This integration of product within an inspirational context is used to create a beautiful image of what could be and was designed to motivate consumers to get stuck into cooking too. This flexible and creative system needed to be applicable to a wide range of product types, uses and packaging formats.
Wine & Cocktail range
Next to their home range of cooking related products Delhaize also required a unique identity for their Wine & Gin tools range. The idea here was to place the consumer within the heart of the professional barman and provide guidance and inspiration within the world of drinks related tools for a wide range of necessities. Shelved often within the wine and spirits area of the supermarket, this small and eclectic collection of tools needed a look & feel that tied them all impactfully together. A brass background texture combined with vintage black & white illustrations, placed the collection within the context of the bar world and its associated qualities.
As many retailers struggle with the war against plastic, Delhaize wanted to review its non food accessories range. As a lot of these products are one use only and therefore disposable Delhaize wanted to launch a reusable range. The plastic materials are replaced by more sustainable materials such as silicon, wood or sugar cane which are, when relevant, also dishwasher proof. For this range we created a natural paperlook design with a graphic interpretation of the products material. Each product gets its either ‘No plastic’ or ‘Dishwasher proof’ stamp and a clear visual of the packed product.
