Since 1947 the good people of Evlier seasoning have been sharing their expertise in good taste with the people of Belgium. Generation after generation of kitchen kings and queens know to trust in Evlier and the unique taste boost their products bring. With a broad range of tailor-made seasonings and herb mixes, the Evlier family has everything any meal would need to both inspire and enhance its taste and enjoyment.

After many years rooted in Belgium’s table culture, a traditional brand such as Evlier can often lose touch with audiences and struggle to stay relevant with upcoming younger consumers. A regular fixture of many butchers’ counters or restaurant tables, Evlier looked also to mainstream retail to help increase its awareness. Time therefore for a makeover to help add packaging power to this small but mighty brand.

We looked to the brands heritage and love-connection with traditional values to guide us to a refreshingly dynamic new identity that still had a foot firmly rooted in the good old days. Inspired by the brands’ retro feel we fed what was an identity with just a logo with an enriched and vibrant new illustration style, full of storytelling potential. Building on their iconic spice shaker ( if it’s not broken, don’t try and fix it ) we added clear guidance and consumer intuitive differentiation across their product range. Additionally, their self-ready display also received the same treatment and gave this little brand more power and visibility in shelf. Not all packs are large and many brands like Evlier have to punch above their weight to be seen. That’s why our focus was to inspire and enhance a new visual identity that spoke volumes and has the potential to spread their message across media touch-points and not just on pack.
